Harking back to a story we have been following over a year about Garden Homes Management seeking approval to develop a manufactured housing community in Oxford, Connecticut since 2006, through a series of denials and re-submissions and a court case, the Conservation Commission, Inland Wetlands Agency (CCIWA) will hold a public hearing on a proposed 124 unit manufactured housing development Sept. 24, 2012. VoicesNews says the new application proposes development in the western portion of the property away from the wetlands in the northeast corner. In addition, MHProNews has learned Garden Homes will pay $5180 in fees for the professional services of an engineer and a soil scientist within one week, a requirement for the application to be accepted. The commission will still await the opinion of professionals to make sure there is ?no impact? as the result of the proposal.
